I am going to be very positive with Friedman’s assessment that the world is flat because technology has played major role on it. Nowadays everyone’s has huge number of opportunity to use any kind of technology. Because of technology communication has been so much easier between friends, family, and even business people. Undoubtedly, most of the business becomes international, and spread all over the world only because of technology. However, his view is targeted to the most of rich and develops country, and there are still the countries that have not been able to reach the technology.

2. What are the potential impacts of a flat world for a student performing a job search?
There are many different search engines on the internet to look for jobs. You have different web sites such as monster.com, careerbuilder.com, states unemployment websites, and hotjobs.com. Being able to use a computer to search and apply for jobs gives an individual unlimited access.
3. What can students do to prepare themselves for competing in a flat world?
Students have many opportunities to learn how to gain knowledge and become competitive and more importantly they learn not to give up so easily. Students can also develop a unique set of skills to demonstrate their talents that would put them at the top of the list. I also think that competitive students are very comfortable with bringing forth new innovative ideas.
